“Kirubi is a genius” is a statement that only someone that was not vaccinated as a child would say. Bringing down taxpayer-funded or Nairobi Stock Exchange-listed firms would not earn him praise and prime-time media slots in shows like Jeff Koinange Live, but a one-way ticket to a penetentiary. Nothing exposes our rigged 8-4-4 education system’s model, than the mere fact that ordinary Kenyans can fete such an individual, without the confidence to question the source of his wealth.

The inferior Kenyan investigators can also be easily exposed as they lack the basic skills to draw simple patterns connecting the dots to corrupt links. Some don’t even require much thought.

For instance, we recently exposed corporate malaise in Nairobi, where we noted that senior positions in large companies are occupied based on patronage and not merit. Jobs are given out based on who you know, who you slept with or how much you bribed. Reason why Kenyan companies or staffers are not globally-competitive meaning that a Togolese bank can easily make it in Kenya and not vice-versa. Kenyan companies can only thrive in inferior economies like South Sudan, etc. Not that Kenya doesn’t have competent individuals, but the significant few have created one toxic system that elevates the most mediocre.

For instance on this blog and in the last two months or so alone, we have mentioned Chris Kirubi’s connection with Kenya Airways and it’s waning fortunes. Kirubi’s hand in the collapse of the airline has been pointed out severally, and the fact that they can even sponsor his event is a clear signal that he is the one controlling the board and senior executive. We have also mentioned his links to betting consortium M-Cheza with his interests being fronted by Mr. Polycarp Igathe, CEO of Vivo Oil and Uhuru appointee as Chairman of the Anti-Counterfeit Agency.

Carlsberg beer brand which has also been listed as a sponsor is a franchise acquired by Centum Investment Group which Kirubi controls. Coca-Cola’s Nairobi Bottlers is chaired by Chris Kirubi. Safaricom as you all know is headed by Bob Collymore who only sponsors what he feels like, not what the market dictates or what majority of his customers want. The sheer arrogance of this man, using the company’s purse-strings to control which events or individuals to support based on kickbacks and commissions he gets. Reason why Bob Collymore never declared the house he purchased for his “stolen” wife in Kitisuru during his sham wealth-declaration aimed at exciting simple minds like President Uhuru Kenyatta.

All other sponsors there are infiltrated by Kirubi-bitches indicating the sheer grip/spread that these toxic cartels have on Nairobi. They gang up and undermine those indigenous events that have refused to concede ownership to the bosses in-charge. Reason why Kisima Awards also went off the radar after Kirubi demanded full ownership. It is one redundant and self-defeatist environment meant to manipulate shor-tlived success.

Together with a network of bribed journalists, the illusion of progress will always be painted but when eventually shit hits the fan, the cookie crumbles as is the case with Kenya Airways. Now the airliner is busy asking staff to take paycuts and yet executives and the board still raking in fat pay-checks and bonuses.

Beyond the Government and Corporate malaise that has incubated corruption on an industrial-scale through a network of bribed journalists, online influence and PR Practitioners, youth from other parts of the world are marching and calling for accountability.
