The honeymoon between the office of Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) and Kenyans seems to be over.
Noordin Haji, the man who took office in April 2018 and was hailed as the one who would bring the criminals to justice has had a fair shair of praise over the past 20 months or so that he’s been in office.
This now seems to be over.
Kenyans took to social media to call out what they termed as laxity in handling cases to their proper conclusion.
Take for example the Ksh3.2 billion Ruaraka Land scam where Kenyan govt bought land from itself.
Interior CS Fred Matiang’i among other people were mentioned in this scam but DPP Noordin Haji has been dilly dallying to proceed with this case.
Why can’t Matiang’i be arrested and suspended the way the other looter at National Treasury Henry Rotich was done?
The answer is simple, we had an incompetent Keriako Tobiko and now in a manner that lends credence to that old adage, ‘the more things change, the more they remain the same’, the current DPP is just the same incompetent zeaot who has eaberd more perdiems from statehouse for his showmanship than any other.
We are aware, the deep state is laughing and praising him for ‘removing the pressure’, giving citizens things to blow-off-steam.
Well, time is up for DPP and even Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
The DCI over the last few months had been used to harass business people who are in competition with Kenyatta Inc.
Take the case of the obviously corrupt Humphrey Kariuki and even the tax evasion case of Keroche. Isn’t there a tax tribunal at Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) which is supposed to handle that matter?
Remember the case of the embattled KPA Boss Dan Manduku who is now shielded from prosecution because he did business with Mombasa Governor Joho, President’s mother Mama Ngina and ODM Party leader Raila Odinga?
Daniel Manduku illegally awarded firms a contract of over Ksh3 billion, most of the monies went to people pockets but he is still in office.
The DPP and DCI are at this point in time no different from KANU’s special branch. And for this reason, Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) went online today to tell DPP in no uncertain terms that THE HONEYMOON IS OVER!
Under the hashtag #ODPPExposed, Kenyans reminded the public prosecutor about the high profile, public interest cases that have not been concluded and decried the slowness in the prosecution process.

If the DPP was honest the following things should've happened:
– Obado should've been barred from office
– Ojamoong should be in prison
– Ongwae shouldn't be in office
– Joho should've been arrested Sonko style
– in short, 40 of the 47 governors should be arrested #ODPPExposed— S.N. Nyamao 🇰🇪 (@snnyamao) December 26, 2019
