David was born to Junice Ray and Alice Jewel Dean Hyatt Kent, who nurtured him with care and affection.
Throughout his life, David was a dedicated father to his daughter Misty Kent, whom he adored.
His paternal love extended to his grandsons Trenton Allred and Jaden Warren, bringing joy and happiness into their lives.
David shared a deep bond with his brothers, Ricky Kent, and Phillip Kent, who stood by him through thick and thin.
His nephew Matt Kent and nieces Kristi Kent and Kari Kent held a special place in his heart, and their shared experiences created lasting family ties.
While David faced heartbreak with the loss of his son Eric Ray Kent and grandson Brennan Kent, he found solace in the memories they had created together.

A graveside service was held on January 13, 2021, at Mt. Moriah Cemetery at Friday’s Crossing.
His family and friends gathered to honor and bid farewell to David.
Pallbearers, including Matt Kent, Trenton Allred, Jaden Warren, Ricky Kent, Randy Edwards, and Landon Kent, carried him to his final resting place.
They paid tribute to his life and the impact he had on those around him.
