Flamboyant city lawyer Donald B Kipkorir has revealed how billionaire Chris Kirubi robbed him of his prestigious job for supporting Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga in 2017.
Using popular social media platform Twitter on Thursday, September 3, 2020, the city lawyer revealed how he lost his roles as a director in three of four companies belonging to the business mogul Chris Kirubi.
According to the lawyer, as the presidential elections approached, the renowned businessman told him to either renounce his support for the National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate or resign from all of his companies.
The man, a strong Catholic says his religious beliefs and conscience led him to take the latter option.
In 2017, I was a Director in three or four companies of Dr. Chris Kirubi … He gave me a BINARY CHOICE: Stop supporting Baba or resign from his companies … I chose to follow my conscience & resigned …I will not abjure at any cost: my Roman Catholic Faith, my Conscience.

He, however, says he has never regretted supporting the Orange party leader, he also notes that resigning from Chris Kirubi’s companies cost him nothing.
While Netizens were quick to react and praise him for making his stand, others were quick to tell him it was all in vain as the Raila and Chris Kirubi seem to have put aside their differences after the infamous “Handcheque”

In 2018, Raila paid the business mogul a visit where Kirubi lauded Raila’s handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta, hoping that it would last to ensure peace and coexistence.
Kirubi explained that the alliance would open the Nyanza region up to more investors after he considered that it was one of the best cities to invest in based on its physical location.
