A light tremor that lasted about 15 seconds was this evening reported in Nairobi, Kiambu, Machakos, Mombasa and Nyeri counties at 7:23 p.m.
A similar quake was reported in Spain just a few minutes before.

A 2.6 magnitude quake was also reported in Turkey at 7:15 p.m Kenyan time.

Just this morning, reports of 6.3 magnitude earthquake in Indonesia had flooded the interwebs.

UPDATE
According to the United States Geological Survey, the tremor felt in Nairobi and it’s environs had its epicenter near Wundanyi.
The 4.8 magnitude quake that was reported at 4:21 (UCT), about 7:21 p.m local time.

According to the latest updates, it was felt all the way from Mombasa, Arusha, Athi River, Nairobi, and Central Kenya.
