It has come to the attention of cnyakundi.com that an article published by one of our reporters on Thursday, 10th March 2o22, might have contained information that is or may be false.
The story regarding the upcoming United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party primaries falsely portrayed Nairobi-based media personality Tracy Wanjiru as one of the two aspirants angling to beat Deputy President William Ruto in the race to clinch the presidential ticket.
We have since confirmed that the right subject should have been Tracy Kingoli Wanjiru, who is a 23-year-old student at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Bio-Engineering.
Wanjiru, who is a person living with a disability, declared interest to battle it out for the UDA ticket alongside Jephanei Orina, with the three now set for an interview that will determine their eligibility to vie for the country’s top seat.
As a long-serving alternative outlet built on strong foundations of bare and bold truth, we are deeply regretful for this unintentional error.
Those references have now been removed.
