Residents of Eldoret town, the capital of Uasin Gishu County and the fifth largest urban area in the country, have accused the Eldoret Water and Sanitation Company (ELDOWAS) of allegedly pumping out impurified water into their homes.
Many homeowners are complaining that the town’s running tap water has an odour and leaves a bad taste in the mouth, something which ELDOWAS management – led by Director Kibet Biwott – has refused to address.
All their efforts to reach out to concerned parties have been futile.
