Man, this mwananchi credit guys are pure cons; trust me, so many people are quiet and afraid to bring it on table simply because they fear to be known that they went bankrupt or something.
Mwananchi Credit charges Kshs. 26000 for a bounced cheque; and a 5% penalty after 5pm.
You will also be charged Kshs. 44000 for sending someone (a debt collector) to come and tell you to pay the following day; and Kshs.16000 for making a phone call to that person.
Now, imagine going to ask for a loan of Kshs. 200k and if you fail to pay in time in the first month, you’ll be fined upto Kshs. 125000.
