Supremacy wars have emerged at KeRRA over tenders, CNYAKUNDI.COM can confirm.
In the middle of the latest battles is none other than the acting KeRRA Director General Eng. Philemon Kandie who has been accused of working for some faceless individuals.
Kandie was based at Kenya Urban Roads Authority National Highways Authority and was deputy to James Gatitu, director of Road Assets at Kenha, another corrupt entity that has been linked to corruption and bribery scams linked to Transport CS James Macharia.
Those complaining allege that Kandie was not among those shortlisted and did not even apply for the job before he landed it.
In another matter that the Chief editor of this website is investigating, Kandie has been accused of harassment, intimidation and illegal transfers at keRRA in what many are viewing as efforts by Kandie to install his people.
He has also been accused of disregarding court orders, a vice that was entrenched by the Jubilee regime.
Kandie’s authoritarianism has been linked to a powerful Rift Valley politician who influenced his appointment without applying, a matter we will focus on in the subsequent articles.
This site has also received detailed reports, linking several high profile keRRA officials to corruption and dirty money that they have used to set up massive apartments in some parts of the country.
Further reports have confirmed that EACC, Agency Recovery Agency and other accountability has remained mum, despite mountains of evidence linking the officials to corruption. Some reports by NIS have also captured the same.
For instance, Engineer Peter Gichohi of ID 10882160, Engineer George Chiaji of ID 10809225 and Engineer Jackson Kurubiu of ID 103385 were eyeing the Kerra DG slot but their tainted past worked against them owing to secret reports filed by state security teams that negatively impacted them.
In the next series, we focus on the big war between a procurement queen, with Kandie and the need for something to be done because such infighting affects the agency.
