Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU) boss Francis Atwoli’s daughter Maria Atwoli is once again a trending topic on social media.
This time around, the sassy and overrated lass famous for aimlessly parroting on social media ended up wrongly ruffling the feathers of netizens after she made a rather absurd proclamation regarding the current economic turmoil facing the nation.
In a viral tweet published on Tuesday, April 26, the recent law graduate bizarrely argued that the reason a majority of Kenyans are stuck in deplorable living standards is that they do not channel enough energy into fighting for what they rightfully deserve.
According to Maria Atwoli, if the middle class spent more time demanding better services, ‘Maybe’ the government would offer them a listening ear.
“Middle class mngekuwa mnapigania health care poa na cost of living vile mnapigania sneakers na watch pengine serikali ingewaskiza,” she wrote.
Hours later and it’s safe to say that Maria is certainly not proud of recklessly letting out such thoughtless remarks in public.
From some of the replies seen by cnyakundi.com, her opinion did not sit very well with many Kenyans.
And they did not hold back their comments.
One after another, the enraged keyboard warriors took turns in castigating her for foolishly speaking from a position of ill-gotten privilege that she has enjoyed her entire life, at the painful expense of oppressed taxpayers.
Maria Atwoli is indeed her father’s daughter and never shies from clapping back at some of the trolls who dare come at her.
Earlier last year, we highlighted how she was involved in a heated social media spat with one of her followers after she complained conversations with ordinary folk can sometimes be so exhausting that one is left with a feeling of a reduced intelligence quotient (IQ).
Her tweet was in regards to some R-Rated discussions which had dominated the platform on the night.
Reacting to the newfound attention, she warned not to be confused for a politician or trade unionist.
She went on to add that she “does not tolerate stupidity” and unapologetically warned that anyone who goes against the rules would quickly find themselves on the blocklist.
Her Twitter account blew up after her father shared her handle in a congratulatory message he posted on his social media platforms when she completed law school.
Moments from the lavish party were also documented through videos and photos that were later shared on social media by Atwoli’s wife Mary Kilobi.
