A section of residents around Wilson in Lang’ata was on Wednesday night treated to a full horror when they helplessly watched on as bulldozers sent from the Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) brought down houses, stalls and Jua Kali structures in the area.
Stranded families at the scene who spoke out claimed that no notice was given prior to what they termed as an ambush.
Even worse, when they tried contacting their area MP Nixon Korir to inform him of their affliction, the legislator ignored a few of their calls before completely switching his phone off.
According to a social media post seen cnyakundi.com, only a few community leaders and an MCA immediately showed up to the scene.
