President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto were both scheduled to have functions in Murang’a on the same day at different venues.
But on learning about the conflicting Harambees, DP Ruto decided to cancel his and join the president’s instead.
However, the president later cancelled going to Murang’a and sent super CS Fred Matiang’i (Interior) to represent him.
This threw the whole DP Ruto’s camp into disarray.
Matiang’i was accompanied by CSs James Macharia (Transport), Joe Mucheru (ICT) and Murang’a Governor Mwangi Wa Iria.
Fallout
It is not a secret that Ruto is behaving like a tick that still sticks to a cow even after it is slaughtered.
DP Ruto in the recent mimi polls in Kibra should have read the signs. He is no longer needed in Jubilee, however as a fighter, he believes he needs to stick to Jubilee till 2022, because no matter how much he thinks he is a big political force, he hasn’t grown balls to walk out.
There was open message when some of president’s inner circle (Maina Kamanda, Anne Waiguru) joined opposition leader Raila Odinga’s camps to campaign for Imran Okoth of ODM Party.
The DP who is a sore lose is said to have refused to meet with his MacDonald Mariga team after the loss.
In a plethora of tweets, he is crying wolf accusing people of what he is.
Odinga’s are not known as thieves, they are neither murderers, and that’s a fact, that internally has made them unfit for the Kenyan Presidency. Because the Kenyan presidency has often been held by inhuman murderers and unfeeling thieves.
Ruto fits the bill right and might be ‘good for business’ for the owners of capital come 2022.
But until then, he needs to work extra hard.
Raila is better for Kenya but can’t be allowed to win on accounts that he might not be good for thieves aka ‘business’.
