We were recently treated to a fanfare of sorts, when the Government through the Presidency executed a Government Symposium, that was basically another avenue to embezzle funds and line the pockets of individuals that are close to Uhuru, our perennially-drunk President.
Reports reaching the Cyprian Nyakundi news desk indicate that the company doing consultancy for the bogus event was associated with former Secretary of Delivery and recently promoted to Deputy Chief of Staff Nzioka Waita, the character that was appointed to Statehouse for overseeing the Safaricom CCTV scam where over Kshs. 50 billion was embezzled in the name of providing bogus cameras.
To cover up Nzioka Waita’s company, The State Department of Interior and Coordination of National Government employed Peter Oyier and Johnson Duro as fronts to execute this heist that totalled Kshs. 44 Million.
The ridiculous expenditure under the name of Government Symposium where officials were posturing, grandstanding and belching hot air had itemized costs like Hire of KICC Lenana Room valued at Kshs. 1.5 Million, hire of a projector valued at Kshs. 500,000.00, hire of LED Panels valued at Kshs. 12.5 Million, hire of stage at Kshs. 375,000.00, hire of tables at Kshs. 25,000.00, hire of seats/seat covers at Kshs. 25,000.00, flowers and drapery at Kshs. 60,000.00, refreshments at Kshs. 100,000.00, snacks and refreshments for CS’s and PS’s valued at a whopping Kshs, 1.5 Million, lunch for university students at Kshs. 500,000.00, ten bloggers were allocated Kshs. 1 Million, lunch allowance for coordinators was pegged at Kshs. 1.25 Million, while the front company Eminent Business Group with is Nzioka Waita’s proxy was paid a whopping Kshs, 25 Million for “consultancy” services.

Meanwhile members of the Kikuyu community are being preached to everyday on Kameme FM owned by the Kenyatta family, that they should register as voters so as to “protect” their presidency, while clearly the Kikuyus remain the most short-changed community in the country. They allow themselves to be held hostage by the few who benefit from Statehouse patronage while enduring pain and losses, all the time being fed on false hope.
