Commuters who boarded a Renegade Air flight on Friday, 22nd April 2022, have come out to raise strong concerns over the quality of aircraft under the company’s fleet.
Expressing his frustrations via social media, one of the disappointed clients narrated how the group of travellers en route to Nairobi on that fateful afternoon were sent into a deep panic after it became apparent that the plane’s air conditioning system had broken down.
When questioned on why such a critical component of the plane was not functional, the flight stewardess only kept giving lame apologies accompanied by totally vague explanations that hardly made any sense.
By this point, the passengers were profusely sweating and desperate for some fresh air, with the extremely humid weather condition pushing them to their limits.
By the time they touched down at the Wilson Airport that evening, all the occupants of the flight angrily swore never to fly with Renegade Air again.
“I was on a flight yesterday with Renegade Air and the AC wasn’t working.
We were being cooked like mutura in that John my guy.
So I ask the flight stewardess is how with the AC?
She’s like bro, samahani cause it’s not working right now.
I’m like how can we stay on a flight without AC?
Shukisha ama tunfungue madirisha!” noted part of the post.
In the past, we have exposed how the embattled local airline continues to face poor ratings despite a recent brand overhaul.
Although this revamp was seen as a positive move, customers have often expressed that the reality on the ground is a lot more different.
The carrier still uses the same old and squeaky aircraft with little to zero value for safety or comfort.
