Today being a weekend I just remembered an ordeal I encountered some time last year…wanaume wengine ni wanyama, now this man whom I had known for over 8 months calls me out on a Saturday at a nyama choma zone…being a lazy day for me,I decide to go because I had done all my house chores. We agree on where to meet in town…we have a hearty talk and he orders some few drinks, ugali and nyam chom…I really enjoy the delicacy then natures calls, I excuse myself and leave my handbag with him because he wasn’t a stranger to me…Kurudi,he was all smiles and he tells me he has an emergency at work and that he has to rush to work….I then decide to pass by the supermarket and buy some few stuffs for my son…after I have picked all that I need,I walk to the cashier to pay and reaching out to my purse that was in my handbag…I open it and get 100 shilling note,I check over and over then finally I empty my handbag at the cashier but there is nothing….”haiiya,si nilieka hapa 1,100 shillings zimemea mguu??” I ask myself …”madam you are causing jam here,if you don’t have money please leave”,the cashier tells me…I put my things back in my handbag and walk past people who were already gathering around me…”Omosh ameniibia, maaaaah!!!!”, I exclaim… There was no way only a thousand note would fall out of my bag and leave a hundred note behind because I had fold them together…I walk slowly to the stage and board a matatu home…”afadhali ameniachia fare,”I console myself…I get home frustrated and write a long, abusive text….and I block him after realising he had switched off his phone
Yaani unaitwa out, unakula na unajilipia bill na kulipia ule alikuita bila kujua…wallahi nilichezwa mbaya sana
Moral lesson, ladies when he takes u out…go to the washrooms with your handbag.
Thank me later.
