A disheartening video showing a helpless dog suffering at the hands of its inhumane owner in Ruaka, Kiambu County is the latest trending topic on social media.
The 33-second clip that emerged on the morning of Tuesday, 5th April 2022 shows a female tenant at The Stables Apartments along Rosslyn Slaughter Road, brutally attacking her pet dog with what looks like a belt.
Not even the loud groaning and wailing of the dog seemed to deter the furious lady clad in a sleeping robe.
She kept on on battering the poor creature, sparking the attention of disturbed neighbours.
Reacting to the grusome incident, netizens called on the Kenya Society for the Protection & Care of Animals (KSPCA) to move in and save the dog from its phsycotic owner.
As of the publishing of this post, it is understood that KSPCA visited the apartments later in the day and managed to rescue the pet.
The lady, however, was not found and is still roaming free.
We sincerly hope that she isn’t a mother because someone who can beat a dog like this can beat a child or even worse.
This is extremely wrong and ought to be adequately punished.
