Shock As Teacher Elopes With Student In Kisii County

There is shock and anxiety in Gucha district, Kisii county after one of the teachers eloped with student immediately after KCSE exams. The teacher whose name is Vincent Rondi Onyacha, a Physics and Chemistry teacher at Kineni Pefa secondary school in Gucha District, Kisii county is said to have eloped with student to unknown location in order to paralyze investigations against him on minor defilement at the school.

Vincent Onyancha started flirting with the female student whose name has been withdrawn for security reasons while in form 3. The mother of the girl upon realizing went to the school and talked to teacher who promised to stop the behavior immediately. The parents thought it was all over between them not until 2018 when they realized it was lie. The teacher was still flirting with the girl and there is evidence of romantic text messages between them even during class time.

Upon realizing the relationship was still active, the mother again visited the school to talk to teacher but she was in for a rude shock after the teacher rudely told her off. Mr Onyancha said that there is nowhere the parents could take him and even if he is sacked, teaching is not the only profession. The remarks deeply angered the parents and the principal seemed to have taken sides with teacher.

After the sudden turn of events and with the evidence at hand, the mother reported the matter to Ogembo Police Station and also to area education officials. Because the child was a candidate and it was third term , the case could not take off as it would affect the child mentality heading to exams. The officials  promised to follow up on the matter after the exams were over.

Immediately after the exams , the teacher reportedly eloped with the student with aim of paralyzing the case. The teacher, through the principal and friends,  is now demanding the mother withdraws the case and accept any amount of pay or she will kill the child.  The mother is however willing to discuss matter only after the child is produced from hideout. The education officials are demanding the child is produced first before case can continue. Its now more than one month and the child whereabouts are not known. The teacher is taking advantage of poor background of parents to pin them down into accepting whatever they want without first producing child.

The mother, who hails from Tendere is now appealing for help to trace daughter who is believed to have been hidden by teacher. There is evidence of a romantic relationship between the two including calls and messages. The daughter last talked to the teacher using mother phone before disappearing.
