Slavery & Racism in Kenya at the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON)

Stephen Jackson, United Nations Resident Coordinator in Kenya

There are complaints of slavery and racism at the heart of Gigiri, the United Nations Organisation (UN) compound.

The slave masters are some foreigners, Indians to be exact working at United Nations Office for Project Services. Their names; Thushanti Selvarajah – Head of Programme (HoP), Rainer Frauenfeld – Country Director (CD), Hina Tabassum – HR Manager, Idris Ahmed – Head of Support Services (HoSS) and Kripa Shah – Procurement Manager.

These five have made it hell for their Kenyan colleagues at the UN.

“Dear Cyprian, I have been following and I love your outspoken nature in regards governance, Human Rights and times when you call out for cowards who cannot stand up-to bullies. There is a story I have picked from the UN. An organization meant to better the living standards of people and to advocate for our rights, doing the opposite of it right in our backyard. As I’m typing this, I know 3 Kenyans who have been fired this year alone without reason. This happens under the UN organization known as UNOPS here in Nairobi. it’s 5 individuals who make these decisions and 4 of them are Indians. They frustrate your work efforts, force you into resignation or fire you. The ones in there are afraid to speak up because one may end up losing a job”, the source wrote.

It is now 402 years since slaves first arrived at the English colonies, USA in Jamestown, Virginia, in August 1619. For Kenyans working with Indians, it is 1619 every day.

The above confirms what we’ve been saying in our #SlaveryInKenya series, that for Kenyans working with Indians, it is like 1619 every day.

Indians, because of the lack of melanin on their skins, they thought themselves to be white people, but the British showed them they are not, so, this colonial hangover and depression, they take it out on Africans.

Poor souls need schooling not love.

Slavery: For Kenyans Working With Indians, It Is 1619 Everyday

The first slaves reached US shores in 1619, in Kenya, it is still 1619, that’s in terms of Indian employers and Kenyan employees.

Indians took over from the colonizers, the British and have continued to perpetuate hatred and diabolic malevolence against locals for far too long with the aid if the government that is always willing to ‘look the other way’

March 3rd 2021: Cabinet Secretary Amb Raychelle Omamo received credentials from Dr. Stephen Jackson, the newly appointed UN Resident Coordinator in Kenya.

The govt of Kenya looks the other way because the people in charge at Immigration and Labour ministry take bribes.
