Jovic was brilliant for Eintracht all throughout the 2018-2019 season and is still 21 years old. He’s a pure striker whose scoring punch will be very useful in the next few years, although he might need to spend some time as Karim Benzema’s backup if the French attacker keeps performing the way he did this season.
No transfer fee has been confirmed but reports indicated that Eintracht wanted at least €70 million to let Jovic go. Real Madrid were not willing to meet their demands, so the move is believed to be around €60 million.
Jovic is Real Madrid’s second signing for the upcoming season after Eder Militao. Other players like Eden Hazard and Ferland Mendy are in Madrid’s shortlist and could be joining the team in the next few weeks.
