The family of Idriss Mukhtar, the former finance county executive member of Garissa County is still crying for justice for their son, who was shot and wounded in 2018.
Idriss who is now tied to an intensive care unit bed at his home has been in a coma for two and half years now.
When we visited his home last month, we were welcomed by the beeping sound of a life support machine as he lay motionless on the bed with his mother sorrowfully staring at him.

The former CEC was shot on August 19th, 2018, outside a mosque in Kileleshwa after disagreeing with Garissa Governor Ali Korane.
The gunman, a David Mwa, fired 3 shots at lose-range. A bullet traveled through the right half of Idriss Mukhtar and lodged in his head could not be removed by a group of specialists who attended to him in India.
They said it would be fatal.
The medical specialists only managed to heal the wound inflicted by the bullet and discharged him to come back home where he is now lying unconscious in a Coma.
The case still lies in limbo because the Mwai died inside police cells alleged by suicide.
