The monopoly of East African Breweries Limited (EABL) is slowly falling apart thanks to the new buddies in town courtesy of Diageo.
EABL and CEO Jane Karuku have been taken to court by disgraced investors and key distributors.

Mrs Karuku, who speaks bluntly, is not new to controversy and the latest case is expected to put her pocketbook and political network to test.

EABL MD and CEO would rather hide behind the company’s monopoly and pay githeri media for PR but she’ll never take time to fix the mess this company is doing.
According to investors and senior distributors to the company, EABL has the country’s most greedy management.
“EABL has harassed their distributors for a long time by using very selfish means. They have very rude management too that have almost zero conflict management issues. Pathetic and selfish management in eabl are up to thirsty their own greed. If this case goes the justice way, this will change many things and is good for future businesses,” a source privy to the case told this site.

EABL CEO Jane Karuku was also accused by Keroche owners of using her political connection with the Kenyatta’s to muscle her company out of business.
It’s not the first time Karuku and EABL are being taken to court.
A few years ago Keroche in their suit accused EABL of using their dominant position to engage in restrictive trade practices in contravention of the Competitions Act.
According to Keroche Jane Karuku had made a determination to see EABL drive them out of business by embossing beer bottles that have the universal shape with unique initials to prevent rivals from using them.
Lady Justice Grace Nzioka ruled against EABL in reference to Case 88 of 2016 in which Keroche Breweries had petitioned the court to stop EABL and Kenya Breweries Ltd from embossing the 500ml brown beer bottles commonly referred to as Euro bottles with ËABL initials.
