Hi Nyakundi,
I am Brian Onguti Musyoka, the Students Chairperson 2019/2020 Scott Christian University Machakos town.
In late July we lost one of our student by the name Leon Ochieng Ouda a first year proceeding to 2nd year, he was killed at his home in Athiriver when he and some of his friends crossed the river Athi to fish at their side in the so called Waridi flower farm owned by a white guy. This was on 15th of July he went missing for a whole week after his friends managed to escape, his body was found mutilated, floating in the banks of the athiriver just close to his home.
We suspect foul play from the security guards at Waridi farm who were seen by the escapees who are now witnesses in disguise.
The police have arrested only one person linked to that murder but more people clearly beat Leon under ‘kill instruction’. The body is in a worse condition that needs DNA testing to provide enough evidence in court.
The family also suspects some foul-play may occur since we are waiting for DNA results to come out around early september. Before I get back to school from attachment to stage demos I like your comradeship support in bring this to the larger public please so that we can have justice for us commoners.
Help us reach the media’s attention. Because on the 31st of July I called Citizen Tv, K24 and Musyi FM stations to give a press statement on the same. But after they recorded me they just went away and never aired my story in the news. I called them the day after and the response was ‘many people just die, its common in Kenya’.
They instead wanted a protest at Machakos Police Station but I could not make it happen since most of our small school students are on long vacations plus we were gearing up for the funeral arrangements and monetary contributions.
Although later the plans were overturned by the government pathologist.
Please highlight.
