For the better part of Wednesday morning, the hashtag #VictoriaBankUnmasked was among the top trending topics online.
The hashtag started by a group of concerned Kenyans sought to expose the unbelievable levels of corruption and impunity at the Victoria Commercial Bank.
In some of the tweets we’ve sampled below, Kenyans accused the finance institution of various crimes including racism, money laundering, insider fraud and sexual harassment of employees.

This public uproar comes just days after cnyakundi.com published a post unraveling a litany of scandals at the bank which has branches in Upper Hill, Industrial Area and Westlands.
In the heavily-shared story, this site’s Chief Editor Cyprian Nyakundi touched on among other things, a complex money laundering scheme that aided politicians clean their dirty money in the 2017 General Elections, sexual harassment of employees and open racism targeting natives.
