Many months after Huduma Namba registration ended, the young men and women are yet to receive their full pay. It is painful and disturbing.
Similar screwing
When the Census exercise began, I had a chance to speak to a few agents. In a similar fashion, their pay was first reduced just like in the Huduma Namba exercise. That’s when I knew, the issue will be the same. That of nonpayment.
Question is, why reduce the pay when the budget hasn’t changed?
See, there’s someone in government that is eating the money.
If the budget is let’s say Ksh. 5 billion, the nunber of Staff remaining constant, why would anyone seek to reduce the daily rate of payment a week after the beginning of an exercise if not to steal money already allocated?
I have always asked youths to exercise their rights according to Chapter 37 of the constitution which gives them the right to peaceably assembly, demonstrate, picket and to present petitions to public authorities.
