The Director General of the Kenya Vision 2030 Delivery Secretariat (VDS) Mr Kenneth Mwige on Thursday appeared before the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Comission (EACC) for a heated grilling session concerning massive corruption at the development programme.
In a letter dated 31st January 2023, EACC summoned Mwige alongside other DVS officials for statement recording at Integrity Centre in regards to illegal recruitments and appointments which we previously exposed on this blog.
They instructed Mwige to show up with his appointment letter, which shows the outrageous salary he pays himself.
“The Comission requires you to submit the Evaluation Report used on 8th April 2021 for consideration and recommending the appointment of Mr Dennis Kimiri Mutwiri as Office Administrator II, and your letter of appointment as earlier requested,” the letter by EACC reads in part.
Through corruption and collusion with the former Board, Kenneth Mwige gave himself a salary of Ksh1.5 million per month, way above what the President earns.
The level of corruption at Kenya Vision 2030 Secretariat under the Director General, Kenneth Mwige surely knows no bounds.
In the past, we have highlighted the plight of suffering staff, who accused Mwige of poorly managing the development programme by practising outright nepotism and actively promoting debauchery at the organization.
Some of them are listed here:

Mwige colluded with the former Chairperson, Caroline Kariuki (former KEPSA CEO) to renew his contract in advance, in November 2022, with effect from 1st July 2023.
Can you imagine renewing a contract in advance and it has not expired?
They did this hurriedly to beat the legal timelines because a new government was in place and was going to make changes.
This is so shameful and immoral.
The rot must end at the Secretariat if Vision 2030 is to be realized for all Kenyans and especially the poor hustlers who pay taxes from their little earnings as the likes of Mwige loot the country’s resources.
President William Ruto and the new Chairman of the Vision 2030 Board who was recently appointed should send this thug and his cronies of staff at the secretariat packing.
