A section of social media influencers have vigorously protested the nonpayment of their dues following the completion of a joint project with Mediamax Network Limited.
In tweets made on Wednesday, May, 11, frustrated Twitter bigwigs led by Charles Kireki alias ‘droid254’ strongly lambasted the company’s officials for failing to honour the terms of their contract agreed upon in December 2021 during the ‘K24 Plus’ mobile app launch.
Despite fulfilling all obligations as per the paid partnership deal and gaining the app thousands of downloads, many of the influencers are yet to receive their deserved reimbursement from Mediamax.
Some of the affected victims who privately spoke to cnyakundi.com revealed that representatives from the network have been dodging all their attempts to seek clarity on the state of their pending payment.
They further argue that this total breakdown in communication left them with no option but to utilize other public means for redress.
“I’m tired of you people and your games,” wrote @droid254.
“So embarrassing that this is the reputation you’ve (Mediamax) chosen to have,” added Sly Wanjira.
Mediamax Limited is one of the largest independent media houses in East Africa with operations in print, broadcast and digital media.
Their video app dubbed “K24 Plus” offers viewers TV shows, movies, cartoons, documentaries, and news.
