Malvagna’s boss confirmed that he was involved in the incident and that he had been working at the resort for six months.
In a statement, Judy Gorski the local franchise owner of K9 Resorts in East Brunswick said: ‘I understand one of our employees was attending the Bebe Rexha concert on his personal time.
‘I was shocked to learn of his arrest. My staff and I do not condone violence in any form, regardless of intent, and this action does not align with our values as a company.’
The flying phone struck Bebe Rexha in the face
The incident took place at The Rooftop at Pier 17 in Manhattan.
Bebe Rexha was performing as part of her “Best F’n Night of My Life” tour, promoting her latest album, “Bebe.”
The attack occurred during the concert’s thirteenth stop, at approximately 10 pm.
As Rexha was halfway through her performance, Nicolas Malvagna threw a phone in her direction.
The object struck her face just below her left eye on the upper cheek, causing her to momentarily turn away from the audience and fall to her knees in pain.
Thankfully, Rexha’s dedicated crew members swiftly intervened, rushing to the stage to provide immediate medical assistance.
Subsequently, she was transported to a nearby hospital, where she received multiple stitches for her injury.
Show brought to an abrupt halt
The incident caused the concert to come to an unexpected and sudden end, leaving both the audience and Bebe Rexha shocked.
Numerous videos captured during the concert, primarily focused on the performance, also documented the unfortunate incident.
Nicholas Malvagna, identified as a luxury dog kennel worker from New Jersey, was swiftly apprehended by security and promptly escorted out of the venue.

She shared a photo displaying a bruised eye and stitches on her left brow, assuring her followers that she was doing well.
Her caption read, “I’m good.” Additionally, she posted a TikTok video where she was seen singing along to the lyrics of her hit song “I’m Good,” featuring David Guetta.
In an interesting turn of events, the acclaimed songwriter, known for her collaborations with artists such as Eminem, Nick Jonas, Selena Gomez, and Shinee, recently addressed fat-shaming on Twitter.
She responded to online criticism by posting a mirror selfie revealing her stomach and defiantly captioning it, “Yes, I’m in my fat era, and what?”
