Real Madrid Confirms Jude Bellingham Transfer.
Dortmund has confirmed that Real Madrid and Jude Bellingham have reached an agreement.
The 2022 Champions League winners will pay £115m to secure the England star’s move to the Bernabeu.
The transfer is subject to the finalization of contractual details and compliance with FIFA Transfer Matching System regulations.
Real Madrid will initially pay Dortmund £88m, with an additional £27m in potential add-ons.
These variable transfer fees depend on Real Madrid’s sporting achievements and Bellingham’s performances over the next six seasons.
Explaining the add-ons, Dortmund said:
“Such variable transfer fees are dependent on the achievement of certain sporting successes by Real Madrid and/or sporting successes or performances of the player at Real Madrid in the period of the next six seasons.
“As a result of, the management expects a positive effect on the key earnings figures for the 2023/2024 financial year in an amount of approximately 77m euros.
Even though Real Madrid will complete the transfer in the 2023/2024 financial year, it signifies a significant acquisition for the club.
Carlo Ancelotti top target
Bellingham was a top target for Carlo Ancelotti, and Dortmund’s acceptance of the bid ends any hopes of Manchester United making a late move.
The 19-year-old midfielder, who scored 24 goals in 132 games for Dortmund, is set to undergo a medical in the coming days.
His arrival strengthens Real Madrid’s squad, with uncertainties surrounding Luka Modric’s future.
Real Madrid has been acquiring talented young players like Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchoumeni.
There are also rumors that Bellingham’s England teammate, Harry Kane, could join Real Madrid in the future.
Kane, who is currently with Tottenham, is looking to leave the club as his contract expires next summer.
