The warning was accompanied by a screenshot of the suspicious email that claimed to be sent from “Ncba Loop Acc Configuration” and displayed a time stamp of 07:49.
The email address, “[email protected],” immediately raised red flags.
It bore the subject line “Device Setup.” followed by deceitful content that scammers use to prey on the fears of unsuspecting recipients skillfully.
The message cunningly states, “You are actively logged in on more than one device, your account may be disabled until you visit your nearest branch. To fix this issue, you can restrict unauthorized devices here,” followed by a hyperlink leading to a seemingly scam-ridden website.
The email appears to mimic an official communication from NCBA Bank, complete with the copyright information indicating it was supposedly sent from NCBA Loop and the current year, 2023.
