To conceal her actions, she gained unauthorized access to secure storage areas, took fentanyl from vials using a syringe, and then replaced the drugs with saline solution to make it appear as though the narcotics were still present.
Further investigations uncovered that over 75% of the fentanyl administered to patients at the Yale REI clinic between June and October had been tampered with, containing either diluted fentanyl or solely saline without any medication.
