The accident: An ATV crash in Tomah
The accident happened around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 10th, 2023.
Callie was riding an ATV with her husband, Neil Driskill, at the Tomah Recreation Park in Tomah, Wisconsin.
According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, they were on a trail when they encountered a piece of construction equipment that was parked on the side of the trail.
The ATV collided with the equipment, causing both Callie and Neil to be ejected from the vehicle.
Callie suffered severe injuries from the impact and was airlifted to a hospital in La Crosse. Neil also sustained injuries but they were not life-threatening. He was taken to a hospital in Tomah.
Unfortunately, Callie did not survive her injuries and passed away the next day, July 11th, 2023.
She was pronounced dead at 12:15 p.m.
