Christopher Bygott Arrested: Bucks County Music Teacher Placed on Leave
In the wake of his arrest on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, Bucks County music teacher Christopher Bygott faces serious charges related to child p*rnography.
Bygott, 47, surrendered to authorities, admitting to having a problem when questioned about the content, as reported by The Inquirer.

Bygott, currently on unpaid leave, confronts allegations of possessing 2,000 images and videos depicting s*xual acts with children.
The Bucks County DA’s Office revealed that a forensic examination of his cellphone led to the discovery of explicit materials involving children of various ages.
The investigation began on December 5 when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received tips prompting authorities to look into an IP address linked to child s*xual abuse content on an Amazon Photos account. The traced IP address pointed to Bygott.
On December 13, officials questioned the music teacher at the Pennsbury High School East campus, where Bygott acknowledged having a problem.
Authorities clarified that there is no indication of any student from the school district being involved in the content found on his cellphone.
Facing charges of possession of child p*rnography and criminal use of a communication facility, both felonies, Bygott has been barred from contacting students, parents, and district staff.
He is on unpaid administrative leave, prohibited from school-related activities, surrendered his passport, and is restricted from using the internet.
The school district, vowing a thorough investigation, confirmed that Bygott underwent background checks before being hired.
Bygott, previously the director of the high school’s band and the curricular coordinator for instrumental music, is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on February 6, 2024, as reported by The Inquirer.
