Alvin Kamara, who previously denied any wrongdoing in the battery case filed in Nevada, has now decided to change his plea and admit guilt to a misdemeanor charge in the same case.
According to several sources, Kamara will acknowledge the charge of breach of peace.
Additionally, he will be required to fulfill community service obligations and contribute $100,000 towards the medical expenses of the victim.
Kamara’s arrest took place during the 2022 Pro Bowl weekend, which was the result of an incident.
Subsequently, Darnell Greene Jr., the individual who claims to have been assaulted, filed a civil lawsuit against Kamara.

According to Greene Jr.’s lawsuit, he alleged that Kamara, along with three other individuals, physically assaulted him and proceeded to stomp on him while he was unconscious on the ground outside a nightclub on the morning of February 5, 2022.

According to a source knowledgeable about the NFL, Sportskeeda reported that Roger Goodell, the commissioner of the league, will not be lenient towards the prominent running back.
The insider emphasized:
“I know first hand that Roger [Goodell] does not like it when NFL players are in the news for negative reasons and he does not hesitate to suspend guys when they exhibit conduct detrimental to the league. Expect a 4-8 game suspension in this case. … not a matter of if, but when.”
Although the NFL has not yet issued an official statement regarding a potential suspension for Alvin Kamara, it is possible that one may be forthcoming, especially now that the running back has agreed to plead guilty to the misdemeanor charge.
However, in the event that Kamara misses a significant portion of the season, the New Orleans Saints have taken precautions to ensure their running back position is covered.
They signed Jamaal Williams, formerly of the Detroit Lions, to a three-year contract earlier this year.
Williams, who led the league in touchdowns last season with 17, provides a capable option for the team.
The NFL is expected to make a decision once the legal proceedings are officially resolved in court.
Until then, the Saints will remain uncertain about Kamara’s availability for the season, leaving them in a state of uncertainty or “purgatory.”
