Artesia Police Department body camera footage has surfaced, capturing the immediate aftermath of medical staff finding Alexee Trevizo Baby, a dead newborn.
The baby belonged to Alexee Trevizo, 19, inside a trashcan.
The distressing incident unfolded in a hospital bathroom in Artesia.
Release on Bond with Conditions
Following a recent hearing, the court granted Trevizo release from jail under specific conditions.
These restrictions include adhering to a curfew.
Bond Set at $100,000
Despite the serious charges, Trevizo was permitted to continue attending school and graduate.
Additionally, the judge ordered her to undergo counseling.
Notably, she is not required to wear an ankle monitor or be placed under house arrest.

A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for September 11, followed by a jury trial for the murder case on October 2.

Alexee Trevizo faces charges of first-degree murder in relation to the death of her newborn son, which occurred inside a hospital bathroom in Artesia.
Police Response and Discovery of Alexee Trevizo Baby
Artesia Police Department received a call reporting a newborn baby found in a hospital bathroom on January 27.
The responding officer became aware of the suspect, Alexee Trevizo, through court records.
At the time, Trevizo was being prepared for an emergency helicopter transfer to Lovelace Medical Center in Roswell.
The police officer did not question her at the Artesia hospital.
According to court records, Trevizo, who had visited the emergency room for lower back pain, denied being pregnant when questioned by hospital staff.
However, a subsequent lab test revealed her pregnancy, causing her to retreat into a bathroom and lock the door.
Hospital Staff’s Discover Alexee Trevizo Baby
Eventually, hospital staff informed Trevizo that they were entering the bathroom, prompting her to unlock the door.
Nurses relayed to the police that the bathroom was covered in blood, and they immediately provided medical assistance to Trevizo.
During the cleanup, staff inspected the toilet and the top of the trash can, finding nothing suspicious.
However, when the trash bag was removed, an employee noticed it was unusually heavy.
Inside the trash bag, two nurses discovered a newborn boy who was cold and showed no signs of life, as documented in court records.
Interview and Murder Charges
Trevizo was interviewed after being transported to a hospital in Roswell.
As a result of the investigation, she was charged with first-degree murder.
