Fresha is Githunguri Dairy FCS’s flagship brand, founded in August 1961 with 31 small-scale dairy farmers to gather and market their milk.
The group began with a single collecting center in Githunguri town and has since expanded to over 76 collection centers and six cooling centers.
The charges follow a current impasse between farmers and processors over raw milk price in the middle of the country’s milk-producing regions’ long dry season.
