Rather than showing remorse for his actions, Moore responded to legal warnings with a dismissive and disrespectful “LOL.”
His unapologetic behavior led media outlets to dub him “The Most Hated Man on the Internet,”.
The title was also given to a Netflix documentary highlighting the emotional distress and anguish experienced by his victims.
Hunter Moore’s Mother Speaks
Born on March 9, 1986, in Woodland, California, Hunter Moore’s name was chosen by his father, who was fond of hunting as a pastime.
After retiring, Moore’s parents moved to Idaho near a hunting preserve and left him their California residence.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Moore’s mother, Jeanette, expressed a mixture of surprise and confusion about her son’s controversial career.
She recalled that on the day of Hunter’s birth, there was a violent storm that even tore the door off one of their properties.
This storm seemed to foreshadow the erratic and rebellious behavior that Hunter would exhibit later in life.
Despite having a relatively normal upbringing, Moore proved to be a challenging child.
His parents’ attempts to enforce discipline and obedience often backfired according to Rolling Stone:
“You could tell him he had to wear pants, and he’d hide under his bed.
You could forbid him from getting a tattoo, and he’d get your face inked on his arm.
But then again, he could be so sweet, so funny, so full of charisma.”
Jeanette added that unless someone has experienced raising a child like Hunter, they wouldn’t truly understand.
She expressed her hope that her son’s tumultuous life would eventually transform into something more positive.

As a child, Hunter Moore was expelled from Woodland Christian School and pulled out of school at the age of thirteen.
Moore attracted the elite despite his lack of formal education by hosting sex parties in New York for middle-aged white executives.
His sister intervened and bought him the domain isanyoneup.com, which was initially a nightclub review website before transforming into a pornographic website.
