The life of Christians  in the Middle-east has never been the same again. King Abdullah has died but I was shocked when some Kenyan media houses started heaping praises. Well, I think it is because they didn’t know the fella very well. The silence was deafening when I saw American media praising him too. At least he achieved something by not having his head chopped off amid praises and chants from crowds at a certain square.

The disturbing plight of christians in the middle east worsened when the USA closed  the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom which was created in 1998  to advice the president on the plight of persecuted religious groups.

Religious persecution is real in Saudi Arabia, In fact the only country that tolerates Christians in the Middel East is Israel. In other countries, the Islamic cult has reared its ugly head worsening the situation.

Christians have been in the Arab world for at least two millennia if my facts can scream for themselves. To hit the nail on the head, Christians are not an exogenous intruding on the dangerous homogeneous Arab world.

After realizing that Christians have played a vital role in the middle world, Pope Benedict XVI raised concern that   ” Churches in the Middle East are threatened in their very existence.” When it comes to freedom of thought, conscience and religion : The Muslim world cannot allow you exercise all these. Discrimination of non-Muslims  has always been the order of the day in the  Arab Muslim world. This is not really the case in Kenya because the dominant religion is not Islam, If Islam was, we would be seeing all these atrocities.  This discrimination did not start today. Christians were second class citizens in the popular Ottoman empire except in 1956 when the principle of equality briefly applied when the Sultan conceded .

They have been slaughtered sometimes King Abdullah watching . According to statics, there were approximately 12 million Christians in the middle east amid the attacks, kidnappings and killings. Due to hostility and persecution, there is a steep fall in birth rates. The rise of Radical Islamic militant groups has worsened the situation.   There is no free speech, churches are being destroyed , boycotts of their businesses and discrimination in employment is daily food for Christians.

Egypt has seen some of the  most egregious attacks in the history of mankind. For instance  the murder of Copts in January 2011; the new years day  slaughter  in the church in Alexandria,  which resulted in 21 dead and 79 injured; and the brutal police action against Christians protesting in central Cairo, in which 27 were killed and over 300 injured. Religion of peace !

In Iraq the situation is worse.  The archbishop of Mosul was kidnapped and killed in 2008. Since 2004, over 70 churches, 42 of them in Baghdad, have been subjected to some form of attack. A recent notorious instance was the slaughter of 58 Christians during evening mass at the Syrian Catholic Cathedral in Baghdad in October 2010. Churches have been bombed in Baghdad and Mosul, seven on one day in July 2009 in Baghdad. The Christian population in Iraq, once a million and a half, is now less than 150,000.

Then  call it the religion of peace ? Christians will never slaughter their brothers and sisters to achieve their mission . We need strong political will to defeat Islamic cult that is dedicated to destroy us. Islam is a dangerous belief that wants to rule the world by force. Let me Quote the Quran

Quran (2:191-193) – “And kill them wherever you find them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out. And Al-Fitnah [disbelief or unrest] is worse than killing…
but if they desist, then lo! Allah is forgiving and merciful. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah [disbelief and worshipping of others along with Allah] and worship is for Allah alone.

Quran (2:244) – “Then fight in the cause of Allah, and know that Allah Heareth and knoweth all things.”

Quran (2:216) – “Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not.”

Quran (3:56) – “As to those who reject faith, I will punish them with terrible agony in this world and in the Hereafter, nor will they have anyone to help.”

Quran (3:151) – “Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah, for which He had sent no authority”.

Quran (66:9) – “O Prophet! Strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be stern with them. Hell will be their home, a hapless journey’s end.”

Quran (61:10-12) – “O You who believe! Shall I guide you to a commerce that will save you from a painful torment.

Quran (61:4) – “Surely Allah loves those who fight in His way”

Quran (48:29) – “Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. And those with him are hard (ruthless) against the disbelievers and merciful among themselves”
