Kevin Mboya Unites The Nation

Kevin Mboya: A man, a bouquet of flowers and a trip to Kwale

Kevin Mboya: A man, a bouquet of flowers and a trip to Kwale

Move over, roses and chocolates, there’s a new romantic gesture in town and it’s all thanks to Kevin Mboya, a digital media consultant and marketer.

In a tweet that’s got the entire country talking, Mboya announced that he was planning to surprise his girlfriend on her birthday by visiting her in Kwale county on January 26th.

He shared that he had not contacted her in 24 hours and was waiting for her outside her office with a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

The tweet and accompanying photos quickly went viral with over 1.5 million views.

But, as the hours ticked by and Mboya remained silent, Kenyans began to wonder what had happened.

Did the surprise go well? Did his girlfriend forgive him for not contacting her? Did they live happily ever after?

The nation was on the edge of its seat waiting for updates.

Some began to speculate that the whole thing was a publicity stunt, but Mboya’s followers defended him, saying that he was just trying to make the surprise extra special.

Celebrities, politicians, and journalists all weighed in on the conversation, with some even suggesting that the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) be sent to Kwale to find out what had happened to Mboya.

As the drama continues to unfold, Mboya is still yet to break his silence on exactly how the thoughtful surprise turned out.

We understand privacy is important in a relationship, so for now, it is best we assume that the two lovebirds are holed up somewhere in Kwale, enjoying the finer things in life.

But even as the curious public awaits the update, sadly, there has been a leaked screenshot of a purported conversation between Kevin and his girlfriend, and guys, it’s not looking good.

She tells him to return to Nairobi after he found her in another man’s arms.

Mboya’s romantic gesture has set the bar high for boyfriends everywhere and has Kenyans questioning if they’re going above and beyond for their significant others.

But, as Mboya reminded us, grand gestures mean little to nothing when you are doing it for a person who does not value or appreciate you.

Men, take note.
