According to reports from Spain, Kylian Mbappe has expressed his interest in joining Manchester United.
The French superstar has decided not to renew his contract with PSG, notifying them of his decision last year.
Although his current deal runs until 2024, with a potential extension to 2025, Mbappe is prepared to let it expire.
PSG is now considering selling him to avoid losing him for free.
There are speculations that if Qatari investors take over Manchester United, it could open the door for a remarkable transfer.
PSG’s owners, who are from Qatar, reportedly proposed a move to Manchester United for Kylian Mbappe back in January.
While Mbappe didn’t make a decision at the time, sources from Paris indicated that he expressed interest in the project.
Recent reports from the Middle East suggest that Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani has emerged as the winner in the race to acquire ownership of Manchester United.
Sheikh Jassim, representing Qatar, has been competing with Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s Ineos for the purchase of the club from the Glazer family.
Initially, Ineos was considered the frontrunner, looking to acquire a 60% stake while allowing the Glazers to retain a reduced role.
However, according to Al-Watan, a newspaper owned by Sheikh Jassim’s father, the Qatari bid for Manchester United has been successful.
According to reports, “successful” talks have taken place, and an official announcement regarding Sheikh Jassim’s takeover of Manchester United is expected to be made in the near future.
Last summer, Kylian Mbappe, who has been a target for United, decided to extend his contract with PSG instead of joining Real Madrid.
However, it has now been revealed that the World Cup winner never had any intention of further extending his stay at PSG.

Mbappe stated that he informed the board of his decision not to extend his contract beyond 2024 back in July 2022, and any communication afterward was merely a confirmation of his earlier decision.
Despite rumors of a potential move to Real Madrid, Mbappe denied having agreed to a deal with them.
