On Thursday, December 28, at 4 pm local time, Savanah Soto’s family organized a vigil in Kenwood Park.
Despite limited information from authorities, the family perceives the deaths as murder.
Revealing Soto’s boyfriend’s history, court records indicate he was placed on probation for allegedly assaulting Soto last Christmas.
The court order prohibited any harmful communication with Soto.
A neighbor attested to frequent arguments and daily physical abuse, including a disturbing incident where the boyfriend allegedly kicked Soto while unconscious.
Police reported the bodies had been in the car for approximately three to four days.
