Engaged in a competitive race primarily with Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the wealthiest individual in Britain, Sheikh Jassim has been vying for ownership of the Red Devils since the Glazers put the club up for sale.
In a strategic move, he submitted a final and fifth offer last week to regain an advantageous position in the bidding process.

In contrast, Ratcliffe had expressed interest in purchasing a 60% stake, which would have allowed the Glazer family, who are widely disliked among the United fanbase, to retain a presence.
