Tear da Club Up Thugs was a hip-hop group formed by the members of Three 6 Mafia in 1998. The group consisted of Three 6 Mafia members Juicy J, DJ Paul, and Lord Infamous, as well as rappers Gangsta Boo, Koopsta Knicca, and Crunchy Black. The group’s name was derived from their hit song “Tear da Club Up,” which was released by Three 6 Mafia in 1997.
Tear da Club Up Thugs released their debut album, “CrazyNDaLazDayz,” in 1999, which featured guest appearances from fellow Memphis rappers Project Pat and La Chat. The album was a commercial success, reaching No. 14 on the Billboard 200 and No. 5 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts.
The group went on to release two more albums, “CrazyNDaLazDayz II – The Sequel” and “Thug Mentality 1999,” before disbanding in 2001. However, Juicy J, DJ Paul, and other members of Three 6 Mafia continued to release music under the Three 6 Mafia name.
