Tom Verlaine was an American singer, guitarist, and songwriter, best known as the frontman of the New York City rock band Television.
He was born Thomas Joseph Miller in Denville, New Jersey, on December 13, 1949.
Verlaine began playing guitar in high school and formed his first band, the Neon Boys, in 1971.
The Neon Boys disbanded in 1973, and Verlaine and bassist Richard Hell formed Television.
The band released their debut album, Marquee Moon, in 1977.

The cause of his demise was however not stated; she sai that Verlaine passed “after a brief illness”.
