Smith was born in Orange County, California, on January 1, 1993.
He met Everleigh’s mother, Savannah LaBrant, when they were both teenagers. They had Everleigh when LaBrant was 19 years old.
The couple broke up when Everleigh was young, but they remained friends and co-parented their daughter.
Smith was a single father to Everleigh and worked as a personal trainer. He was also a talented musician and played the guitar and piano.
Smith’s death was a shock to his family and friends. He was a beloved father, son, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Smith’s funeral was held on September 19, 2022. He was buried at the Pacific View Memorial Park in Corona del Mar, California.
In lieu of flowers, the Smith family asked that donations be made to the Everleigh Rose Smith Memorial Fund.
The fund will provide support for Everleigh’s education and future.

Smith died of an accidental overdose due to acute fentanyl intoxication, according to the Orange County Sheriff-Coroner.
He was 29 years old.
Smith’s death was announced by his ex-wife and Everleigh’s mother, Savannah LaBrant.
LaBrant shared a photo of Smith on Instagram and wrote;
“Yesterday, we lost the love of our lives, my best friend, and the father of our child. Smith gained her angel wings unexpectedly. Your prayers for Everleigh are so very appreciated.”
Smith and LaBrant were married in 2013 and divorced in 2016.
They had one daughter together, Everleigh, who was born in 2015.
Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic opioid that is often mixed with other drugs, such as heroin and cocaine.
It is much more potent than morphine and can be deadly in small doses. Fentanyl overdose is a leading cause of death in the United States.
The Orange County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office is still investigating Smith’s death.
However, they believe that he died of an accidental overdose due to acute fentanyl intoxication.
