He revealed his struggles with dehydration and diabetes throughout the day, highlighting that he had been tested for Covid twice, with negative results both times.

Following the show, Michaels sought medical attention at the hospital. Despite feeling sick and dehydrated, he commended the staff, doctors, nurses, and frontline workers for their professionalism and great personalities.

He praised their swift response, emphasizing their incredible care during a challenging time.

In light of his health situation, Michaels regretfully announced the cancellation of his next show and the rescheduling of the Mohegan Sun at Arena to February 9, 2024.

The singer assured fans that tickets from the original show would remain valid for the rescheduled date.

While the specifics of Michaels’ hospitalization were not disclosed, he has previously discussed his battle with Type 1 Diabetes in a 2019 interview with Yahoo Lifestyle.

Describing diabetes as a complex and incurable disease, he emphasized the need for a daily balance in managing food and carb intake through medication and healthy habits.

Michaels, known for his role as the lead vocalist of the glam metal band Poison, has faced various health challenges over the years.

These include a brain hemorrhage in 2010, a congenital heart defect in 2011, and kidney surgery in 2014.

Despite health setbacks, Michaels has had a successful music career.

As part of Poison, the band achieved commercial acclaim with their second studio album, “Open Up and Say… Ahh!,” released in 1988.

Michaels has also enjoyed success as a solo artist, with his third studio album, “Custom Built,” peaking at number 14 on the Billboard 200 album chart in 2010.
