Investigations are underway by both the NBA and the Miami Heat regarding allegations of an altercation involving Conor McGregor, a former UFC champion, and a woman in a restroom following Game 4 of the NBA Finals.
The woman’s legal representative, Ariel Mitchell, confirmed that a complaint was filed and that her client had submitted the clothing she was wearing that night to the Miami police.
McGregor’s attorney, Barbara Llanes, asserted that her client has consistently asserted his innocence and will not be swayed by intimidation.

In correspondence addressed to the NBA, the Miami Heat, and McGregor’s representatives, Mitchell detailed her client’s allegations.
They informed them that she would entertain “reasonable settlement offers” until June 12, after which legal action would be pursued.
The Miami Heat released a statement acknowledging the claims and initiating a comprehensive investigation.
They further mentioned that they would refrain from making further comments until the inquiry reaches its conclusion.
The NBA also issued a similar statement, expressing their collaboration with the Miami Heat in gathering information related to the incident.
On the same night as the alleged incident, a peculiar occurrence took place involving McGregor inadvertently striking the Miami Heat mascot during a mid-game stunt.
During a third-quarter break in Game 4 of the NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and the Denver Nuggets, McGregor threw two punches that connected with Burnie, or more precisely, the individual inside the Burnie costume, who subsequently sought temporary medical attention.
The Miami Heat organization reported that the unnamed staff member received pain medication and was on the path to a complete recovery.
McGregor’s presence in Miami was tied to a promotional campaign for a pain-relieving spray, and even before the stunt began, he was met with jeers from sections of the audience.
The flame-clad mascot, Burnie, was attired as a boxer entering the ring, complete with oversized boxing gloves and a robe.
McGregor’s left hook caused Burnie to tumble to the ground, and McGregor proceeded to launch another attack on the mascot.
As Burnie was being escorted off the court by several members of the Miami Heat’s in-game advertising team, McGregor made an attempt to “spray” the mascot with the painkiller.
Since sustaining a left leg injury in his defeat against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021, McGregor has not competed in any fights.
His last triumph occurred in January 2020.
