Mavuno church was formed a little over 10 years ago by some visionaries and has grown to and huge umbrella for Mavuno campuses.
So out of this, grew a campus called Mavuno Church Crossroads. This campus has been under the oversight of Pastor Linda. The overall oversight of the movement is under Pastor Mureithi Wanjau.
Pastor Linda together with a few guys who had stopped attending church because of the distance to Athi River, another unadvised move, started laying go undated for Crossroads. Within a few months church was up and running. Now the congregation has grown to about 500 and it’s set to grow more. However suddenly in his characteristic style, Pastor Mureithi has ‘heard’ from God and is terminating the services of Pastor Linda.
In any organisation, an exit decision of a senior leader requires good governance and procedure with clear cause and effect. Hee, it’s as simple as ‘hearing’ from God. In scripture all prophesy had a witness which is absent here. The underlying factors seem to stem from a move by Pastor Linda’s husband who was to run for Bishop of Maseno office. The Reverend Peter Adolwa or The Rev as he is known helped streamline Mavuno operations and his exit wasn’t acrimonious, but it led to such a shoddy sacking for Pastor Linda.
So reliably there is a session Pastor Mureithi wants to have with Crossroads and explain how we love Pastor Linda and how they are releasing her to her next assignment. All this is a sham. It will break this community that has been largely brought together by Pastor Linda’s hard work.
She built the church when she had a young family and balancing with studies. Many people don’t recognize Pastor Mureithi and his coming will surely ruffle feathers. There is a Kenyan Pastor from Uganda that they want to install at Crossroads but the loyalty to Pastor Linda is unwavering. Pastor Mureithi in his signature divide and rule has individually spoken to the elders and managed to win them over.
Unfortunate to treat a founder member of the movement this way. Pastor Linda has been sacked without cause and it’s being hidden in prophecy. The congregation at Crossroads will definitely disintegrate given her exit. Unfortunate and tragic. The truth is she is being bullied and sacked for no reason at all.
Help us Nyakundi in telling the truth before Pastor Mureithi comes to poison the congregation.
