After the sinking of the first Titanic, Clive Palmer now aims to bring back the iconic ship with Titanic II, scheduled to set sail in June 2027.
With the pandemic behind us and cruise ships back in operation, Palmer believes it’s the right time to revive his Titanic dream.
The Titanic II will include third-class dining, reminiscent of the original ship. Plans for the ship closely resemble previous iterations, with adjustments made to meet current regulations.
Palmer anticipates the winning bidders to be from Europe, expressing doubts about Chinese standards for the project.
Passengers will have the option to dress in the 1900s attire, although it’s not mandatory.
The ship will be slightly larger than the original Titanic, measuring 269 meters long and 32.2 meters wide, with a capacity of 2,345 passengers across nine decks and 835 cabins.
Almost half of the cabins will be reserved for first-class passengers.
