In 2022, Max Christie was drafted by the LA Lakers, pick #35.
He joined the Lakers‘ 2022 Summer League.
In his debut, he scored 5 points and grabbed 9 rebounds.
On July 8, 2022, he signed his rookie contract with the Lakers.
On March 8, 2023, he joined the South Bay Lakers in the NBA G League.
Two days later, he returned to the LA Lakers.
