Pep Guardiola Announce to Leave Manchester City in 2025.
According to reports, Pep Guardiola is set to depart from Manchester City when his contract ends in 2025.
Despite leading the club to their first-ever Treble, Guardiola’s time at the Etihad appears to be winding down.
The Guardian states that the 52-year-old Spaniard will walk away from City at the conclusion of his contract.
This decision would mark the end of his nine-year tenure at the club, although his future plans remain uncertain, with international management potentially being an option.
Initially, when Guardiola joined City in 2016, it was expected that he would spend three years in England before moving to Italy.
He had reportedly aimed to become the only manager to win titles in all four major European leagues.
However, the current belief is that his plans have undergone a change, and Guardiola is actively preparing to step away from City just before he reaches a decade in charge.
During his seven seasons in England, the popular manager has secured five league titles.
This season, City’s triumph over Arsenal secured their third consecutive league victory, and they further celebrated by winning their second FA Cup with a victory over Manchester United.
The season reached its pinnacle as City claimed their first-ever Champions League title, making them the second English team to achieve the Treble.
As Guardiola and City set their sights on an ambitious Quadruple next season, fans may be witnessing the beginning of the end.
Guardiola expressed his thoughts on his future after signing his previous contract in November, stating;
“So pleased to be staying at Man City for another two years.
“I can’t say thank you enough at everyone at the club for trusting me.
Also happy and comfortable here. I have everything I need to do my job as best as possible.
“I know the next chapter of this club will be amazing for the next decade. It happened over the last 10 years, and it will happen in the next 10 years because this club is so stable.
“From day one I felt something special being here. I cannot be in a better place.
“I still have the feeling there is more we can achieve together and that is why I want to stay and continue fighting for trophies.”
